Like a lot of youngsters I love ponies and horses and would nag my Mum and Dad with how much I would love to ride. My Mum used to ride when she was younger and I know she would love to do it again, (one down, one to go).
After twelve months riding I'd picked up quite a lot and then the next part of my dream came true...I got my very own pony. Her name is Blossom - after the time of year she was born we think. Blossom was beautiful. Strong but kind, helpful but forward, comfortable and responsive. And scary. She had a mind, she had a will and we'd spend time getting to know each other well. I carried on with my lessons and brought the skills home to practice with Blossom. The thrill, excitement and touch of fear on every ride is exhilerating. The reward and companionship I am building with my pony is great.
